We’re an inclusive, international queer mindfulness community offering online donation-based meditations and in-person retreats in welcoming spaces. Our mission is simple: to create places where queer people can grow in presence and peace, both individually and collectively.

Weekly online donation-based meditations.

Every week we meet on Google Meet for a 50-minute group meditation and discussion. We focus on practical aspects of mindful living and include an accessible mindfulness practice you can take into daily life. You’ll also have the chance to learn from and share with queer people worldwide, building connection as we all work toward greater presence and peace. Sessions are donation-based.

Mindfulness retreats for queer / LGBTQIA+ people in Portugal.

Retreats in Portugal and beyond.

As our community grows, we’ll begin hosting queer mindfulness retreats in Portugal — with more locations across Europe to follow. Each retreat will center on mindfulness and community connection, and is open to all LGBTQIA+ people, no matter your level of experience. We design these gatherings to be both accessible and deeply nourishing, giving you space to rest, connect, and explore mindfulness in supportive company.

Meet your facilitators

Francisco F. Esteves, PhD, a facilitator at Queer Mindfulness.

Francisco F. Esteves, PhD

Francisco is a biologist with a PhD in Neuroscience, specializing in the neuroendocrinology of sexual behavior. His path into meditation began through yoga and martial arts, practices that continue to shape his daily life. Today, he shares his knowledge as a wellness teacher for individuals and organizations, integrating science and mindfulness to support resilience, balance, and growth.

Brendan Reape

Brendan began studying meditation at UC Berkeley and has held a regular practice for the past 14 years. He’s since taught students in Chicago and Los Angeles public schools meditation for stress reduction through a non-profit, and organizes a regular mindfulness meeting for queer people in Lisbon, Portugal.
